Engineered for pure speed on the tarmac. The Strato is an uncompromising, aero-leaning travel road bike designed for precision handling and fast ascents. Featuring fast-rolling tires, it delivers the ride feel of a premium, high-performance road bike.
Built for exploration on the potholed and light gravel roads of developing countries, the Terra is equipped with wider tires, a flared handlebar and thicker handlebar tape. It offers more comfort without sacrificing our signature road bike feel.
The Core tier utilizes a hybrid mechanical braking system, combining a front rim brake with a rear mechanical disc brake. It features a SRAM AXS Rival rear derailleur, SRAM S-500 brake-only levers merged with custom 3D-printed wireless Blip mounts, and a Zipp Service Course SL aluminum handlebar.
The Comp tier upgrades to dual mechanical disc brakes for increased stopping power. The drivetrain operates on a SRAM AXS Rival rear derailleur controlled by SRAM S-500 levers with custom 3D-printed SRAM AXS Wireless Blip mounts. The cockpit utilizes reliable Zipp Service Course SL aluminum handlebars.
The Pro tier transitions to a fully hydraulic braking system with front and rear discs. It incorporates a SRAM AXS Force rear derailleur paired with Rival AXS HRD shift/brake levers. The cockpit features Zipp carbon handlebars, utilizing the wider, flared XPLR variant on Terra models for off-road leverage.
The Elite tier provides the highest specifications. It features dual hydraulic disc brakes, a SRAM AXS Force rear derailleur, and upgraded Force AXS HRD shift/brake levers for refined ergonomics. The cockpit is equipped with a Zipp carbon handlebar, leveraging the XPLR variant for Terra models.
Drivetrain grease doesn't belong on your clothes. Beyond the proven benefits of lower friction and extended longevity, a waxed chain is completely dry and clean to the touch - making it the ultimate bike travel and packing approach.
While we highly recommend a waxed chain for the absolute best travel experience, we will never force our philosophy onto you. If you prefer a traditional factory-greased setup or already have your own routine at home, the choice is entirely yours.
Buy a factory-lubed chain with a kit of Silca Chain Stripper and Silca Super Secret Chain Lube. You do the stripping, waxing and install.
Get a pre-waxed chain from Silca. We cut it to length and install it on your Moalani bike before shipping, so you can just unbox and ride.
Your Moalani will ship with a standard, factory-greased, unboxed chain. You do the sizing and installation, using whatever lube you want.
If you already run your own waxing or already have a waxed chain waiting, we will ship your bike chainless, so you provide the final link.
We pair the brushed elegance of naked titanium with rich black carbon components for a timeless, elegant, striking and stealthy design, with no paint to be scratched or chipped by careless airline baggage handlers or taxi drivers.
To ensure maximum frameset fit and alignment, we partnered with Silverock - specialists in compact bike products - supplying carbon fork, seat post, quick release head tube stem and its fully integrated head set stack.
Made from lightweight carbon, our 451 tri-spoke wheels feature a minimalist, matte finish. The front wheel also allows for rim brake or flat mount disc brake setups, giving you the freedom to make your own choices.
We pair SRAM's latest Full Mount 13-speed AXS XPLR rear derailleurs seamlessly with Garbaruk's ultralight GEN 2.0 10-52t cassette, plus Alugear chainring, spider, spindle and cranks for precise shifting and full power transfer.
Wrapped with Deda bar tape, our Zipp cockpits can accomodate any wingspan. Featuring a flat aero profile for the Strato and a slight flare for the Terra, they come in exhaustive stem length/angle and handlebar width options.
From hybrid mechanical rim/disc braking, to fully mechanical disc braking to fully hydraulic disc braking, we offer it all! Pair that with wireless SRAM AXS electronic shifting at Rival and Force levels, depending on the tier.
Sitting on clincher rims, the Strato utilizes light Schwalbe 28-451 or 30-451 road tires, while the Terra features grippier Maxxis 37-451 grooved tires for extra grip and puncture resistance. TPU and butyl inner tubes are available.
An idea born through global travel to ~80 countries, our frames are engineered in Germany and assembled by passionate cyclists in Valencia, Spain. From this Mediterranean hub, they are deployed back into the world.
Juggling strollers, car seats and a massive bike box can ruin any family vacation. The ease of traveling with and packing our bikes make joint family trips and early morning rides entirely possible again.
Bike boxes rarely fit in taxis or rental car trunks, let alone train luggage racks. Upgrading to SUVs or minivans at every destination is a hidden, accumulating travel cost a Moalani quickly offsets.
Anyone who has dragged an unwieldy bike box through airports, train stations and hotels knows the exhaustion. Our bikes pack into a standard suitcase, completely eliminating that burden.
Smaller wheels do not equal short distance. Need proof? We’ve ridden 321 km and almost Everested with 8000+ meters in a single day on our early concept prototope and lived to tell the story.
No need to locate the oversize luggage belt or second guess where your bags will exit. Your bike will arrive where all your bags arrive, getting you faster out of the airport.
Bag fees aren't the only cost. Airlines frequently lose oversized luggage or crack carbon frames under punctual pressure. For carbon frames, that's often a death sentence.
Unlike all other travel frames out there, our bikes require zero tools to pack. You never need to remove the crankset, headset, fork, cassette, cockpit or even the rear wheel.
451 wheels outperform typical folding bike wheel sizes. They also accelerate instantly and actually climb faster than 700c wheels due to their lower rotational mass.
With a waxed chain, zero drivetrain grease and a self-lubricating seat post shim, you can pack our bike alongside your clothes without a mess.
Single main tube folders suffer from flexy hinges and wobbly steering. Our unique frame design delivers stiff, responsive power transfer.
Nothing ruins a cycling trip faster than a broken proprietary part. That’s why Moalani is built entirely around standardized components.
Using our standalone frame set, you can benefit from the unique Moalani folding concept, while building your dream travel bike.
